RITA CABINET

“Vibrant”, “striking”, “eye-catching”, or “dramatic”; however you choose to describe this stunningly reimagined cupboard, there is one thing that “Rita” has in abundance: “Style… with a capital S.
Originally a “pot cupboard”, this solid mahogany piece was manufactured in the Edwardian era, around 1910, and had a very mundane use (see below).  
But just look at her now!  With echoes of red sunsets, desert sands, and splashes of yellows and blues, all finished with a swipe of red lipstick, Rita is the ultimate in Cool.
Her clean lines are offset by her lovely curvy legs, and the delicate moulding detail to the left hand door adds dimension and detail to the piece.
The 2 front doors open to reveal an interior that has been painted in warm reds, to complement the external design.  The handy, single shelf gives you plenty of storage for books, bottles, lotions, potions, and all your other essentials.

Incidentally, you could be forgiven if you think Edwardian pot cupboards had something to do with dining rooms.  Well, you’d be wrong.  The early versions of our bedside tables were known as Pot Cupboards because that’s where the chamber pot was stored when not in use.  So now you know!
